I've recently been asked the following question by one of my students. "What has been the greatest accomplishment of your life"?
I suppose many people would answer this question by saying, establishing a successful business or career, accumulating a lot of money, property and wealth, or acquiring power and fame.
If we take a moment to stand back and look at the whole picture, we soon realize all of these achievements will eventually fade away over time leaving us feeling dissatisfied and unfulfilled.
What I'm trying to say in essence is probably best portrayed in the classic Christmas movie,
"It's a Wonderful Life".
When it's all said and done and we look back at our lives, we realize there is no better feeling of complete and utter satisfaction obtainable than making a positive and uplifting change in someone else's life.
When asked, "What has been the greatest accomplishment of my life?" My answer is simple and without hesitation; "Bringing up my kids to know God, for God is truly amazing!
God Bless,
